About the show: Windridge Vineyards in Darnestown will host the next MAA members quarterly exhibit, JEWEL TONES OF FALL - Art at Windridge in the Tasting Room.

Prospectus: Please read the SHOW PROSPECTUS  before registration for show details, how to register, framing/wiring information and other requirements.

Theme: Jewel Tones of Fall theme presents an opportunity for artists to explore not only the traditional moody jewel tones of ochre brown, aubergine, and burgundy but also to explore the other side of fall jewel tones...like Aquamarine, Turquoise, Emerald, Ruby, Rose Quartz, Light Amethyst and Citrine.  Such wonderful colors.  Rich, vibrant, and bold, jewel tones are captured in natures landscapes -- adding a dose of drama to our lives. These color combos are certainly all about living out loud -- as seen in Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings Autumn Leaves, and the Nature Forms-Gaspe.

Submissions: Member artists can submit up to 2 works per member for consideration in any of the following categories:

  • natural landscapes, maritime and seascapes
  • cityscapes, townscapes, urbanscapes
  • still life
  • abstract art
  • Portraiture - people and animals
