Artist Biography: Simin Parvaz holds a B.A. in sociology from UC Berkeley. She has always held an appreciation for fine art and photography. As a teenager, she was encouraged to pursue her creativity in art class when her colored pencil drawing was selected for display at her boarding school.

As a full-time mom, she kept up with her drawings and explored oil painting, watercolor, watercolor pencil, pen & ink and photography.  What she puts on the canvas or a paper is what she wants to see and bring into her world.  For her, art is therapeutic and brings inner peace and serenity. Her photos reflect her observations of different facets of life, colors, and patterns, providing an opportunity to share with others.
