The Windridge Vineyard in Darnestown will be hosting an ongoing MAA art exhibit in their Tasting Room to reflect the fine art from local artist along with the vineyard's fine wine. MAA has created a digital library that member artists can submit up to 3 works per member during open registration periods. Please note that artwork previously submitted but not shown in earlier Windridge exhibits will remain in the digital library unless withdrawn by the artists. All artwork in the Windridge digital library will be part of the jurying selection process by Windridge Vineyard owners.
Art submissions for the new spring exhibit should focus on spring as a time of new beginnings as depicted in landscapes, still life and abstract art of Maryland and surrounding metropolitan areas: including
Artists work in the digital library will be juried by the vineyard owners. Selected artwork (~10-15 pieces) will be exhibited for a 2 month period. At the end of each 2 month period, the vineyard will jury a new selection of MAA artwork for the next 2 month period. Sold artwork can be replaced by the artist with a similar size piece. MAA will notify the artists when work is sold.
2D work including oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, pastel, encaustic or drawing / ink mediums are eligible for entry. Photography is not included.
There is no fee to submit your work for inclusion in the Windridge Vineyard Digital Library. A fee of $5 will be required for each artwork selected by the winery.
