We're delighted to welcome you to the opening reception for A Closer Look, MAA's first Members Show at Kentlands Mansion — a celebration of the creativity and talent within our community of artists, set in one of the region's most inspiring arts venues.

The theme, A Closer Look, invites artists and viewers alike into a shared act of noticing — celebrating work that rewards attention, revealing something new the longer you spend with it. Look closely, and see what unfolds.

Join us at 5:30pm for welcome remarks from MAA President Sylvia Douglin, followed by our juror, distinguished artist Jennifer Barlow, who will present the Artist Recognition Awards. Jennifer will also be available throughout the reception to speak with artists and visitors.

Bring family and friends to enjoy one of the premier art venues in the Washington, DC metro area during this exceptional summer exhibition. Discover original works across a variety of mediums and sizes — perfect for gifting, collecting, or treating yourself to something special.
