Plein Air:  Bethesda Row Holiday Lights Nocturne

Bethesda Row features festive lights, restaurants, and shoppers.  Join us Monday evening in mid-December as we paint in this central Bethesda location.  We will take advantage of the early evening hours when lights twinkle, shop windows beckon and warming stations glow. There are places we can grab hot drinks but be sure to dress in layers.

Location:  We will meet in front of Neuhaus Chocolates, 7123 Bethesda Ln, Bethesda, MD 20814.  This is a little shop in the outdoor Bethesda Row shopping area.  There are many public parking garages nearby.  They all charge for parking.

Cost: Free

Number of registrants: Up to 25 members and guests (Members may bring 1 guest.)

What to expect: Please check in with Lynn in front of the shop at 5:30pm.  Dress in layers as it might be chilly.  Mittens and hat recommended.  The area is well lit but you might want to bring a clip-on booklight so that you can see your painting.  We will return to check in spot around 8:00pm, maybe grab a warm drink, and share our experiences and art around a warming station.

What to bring:  Paints, Substrate, Easel, Stool, Water

Getting there: This location is accessible by car and by Metro (red line, Bethesda Station). If you take the Metro, it is a .3 mile, 2 minute walk to our meeting spot. If you'd like to try to find a ride or carpool with other participants, please post a note in our members-only Facebook group.

Parking:  Please park only in designated parking areas.  Public Parking garages surround the area but they all charge.
