About the presentation: 

Martha Spak is an award-winning artist and creative entrepreneur based in Maryland. A self-taught artist, Martha began her art career with painting and became a licensed artist in 2008. Her 2D art is distributed through various channels, with reproductions available in national retail chains. Her work has garnered attention in national publications and has been featured in

television series and movies.

In 2011, she founded Martha Spak Fine Arts LLC, a creative design firm that showcases a diverse portfolio of notable commercial spaces, public art installations, and private residences throughout the country. Martha excels in finding creative solutions through collaborative partnerships, focusing on site-specific art that engages and uplifts communities and neighborhoods.

With over twenty-five years of professional experience, Martha is best known for her abstract paintings and sculptures. Her work has earned her several public art projects and grants, with her 3D sculptures including Art in Public Places.

Martha opened her namesake gallery, the Martha Spak Gallery in 2017 and curated 48 shows and exhibited a remarkable collection of art showcasing many of the finest artists in the nation’s capital. She has curated independent projects, regularly programs alternative arts spaces, and is involved in the mid-Atlantic arts community. She is a grant panelist for DC Arts and Humanities Council, a Trustee for the Rehoboth Art League, and an Artist in Residence at Georgetown University Lombardi Cancer Center. She is currently working on a second series of sculptures for Kirkland, WA and a collection of paintings for Children’s National Hospital.

Martha's recent works include lyrical sculptures crafted from aluminum, fiberglass, and wood.
