Needle Felting is all the rage and is fun and easy to learn!

We are thrilled to announce that the Montgomery Art Association is hosting Carol Moore's Needle Felting Workshop in collaboration with the Oasis Art Gallery on Saturday, November 9th!

In this class you will learn how to needle felt with wool fibers on a two dimensional surface with 3 dimension elements.

Join us and bring a friend for an afternoon of creative exploration, fun, and learning.  The workshop is tailored to all art skill levels.  We can't wait to see you there to felt together.

Supplies: Workshop participants will be provided with all supplies needed to complete their needle felting project

Fee:  $30 per MAA member registration fee. $40 non-MAA member fee registration.  Participants must be 18 years or older

Workshop Limit:  Total number of participants for this workshop is 12.

Workshop Instructor:  The workshop will be led by Carol Moore, A native of Maryland.  Carol studied Graphic Design at UMBC in Baltimore, MD. On her artistic journey she has been a Technical Illustrator, Paste-up Artist, Art Director for two different retail companies, Mural Painter, Drama Set Designer/ Painter and an Artist in Residence in Montgomery County Public Schools. However, nothing has been more fulfilling than her explorations in Printmaking. She first fell in love with Printmaking while taking a college intaglio course back in the 80’s. In 2010 Carol went back to school at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland where she rediscovered intaglio and other forms of Printmaking. It was there that she earned her certificate in Studio Printmaking.
