Plein Air: Windridge Vineyard
Windridge Vineyard is a family owned farm winery situated on the Piedmont plateau of Maryland. Views are vast and colorful in the fall. We will enjoy a morning of painting together in this spectacular spot while it is closed to the public. This is a rare opportunity!

Location: 15700 Darnestown Rd., Darnestown, MD 20874
Directions: From Bethesda, Maryland: Take MD-191 W/Bradley Blvd and River Rd to Esworthy Rd; Follow Esworthy Rd to Seneca Rd in Darnestown. Esworthy Rd turns right and becomes Seneca Rd. Follow Darnestown Rd to the Vineyards on your left. This is about a 35 minute drive and a little over 18 miles from Bethesda.

Number of registrants: Up to 15 members and guests (Members may bring 1 guest.)
What to expect:
We will check in at the parking lot. Water provided. Specific details on exactly where we can paint will follow for registrants. Please bring a drop clothe such as an old sheet or table clothe so that we don't accidentally damage picnic tables and grounds. We will return to check in spot around 11:45 for a group photo and an informal look-see-chat about our efforts.
Ground Rules which apply to us:
-Due to insurance compliance, we cannot allow our guests to bring their own "pop-up" shade structures, including umbrellas.
-Our vineyards are actively farmed. Please refrain from entering the vineyard rows and touching the vines.
-No commercial photography is permitted without prior approval.
What to bring: Paints, Substrate, Easel, Stool, Water, Bug Spray, Hat
Getting there: This location is accessible by car only. If you'd like to try to find a ride or carpool with other participants, please post a note in our members-only Facebook group.
Parking: Please park only in designated parking areas.
Photos: Commercial photos are not permitted. Photos for personal use are permitted.
Rain date: No rain date. Event will be held only if it is not raining.
