Private Guided Tour of the Hillwood Estate, Museum and Garden

The Montgomery Art Association is excited to announce a private guided tour of the Hillwood Estate Mansion!  

What to expect: The mansion holds nearly 20,000 objects from Hillwood’s collection of Russian imperial art, French eighteenth-century decorative art, and Marjorie Meriweather Post’s personal collection of apparel, jewelry, and accessories. 

The Gardens capture the vision Marjorie Post conceived when building the estate in the 1950s. She designed the gardens to flower in the spring and fall, when she was in residence at Hillwood.  

Event Details: We will have a private tour of the mansion at 1pm.  Please arrive 10 minutes early at 12:50. After the tour guests are free to walk the gardens, visit the greenhouse, and see the special exhibit: Fragile Beauty:  Art of the Ocean, on your own time.  Dining options are available at the estate for participants to enjoy on their own after the tour.

Non-Hillwood Estate members: $26

Hillwood Estate members:  Free 

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Each MAA registrant may also bring up to 1 guest. Guests who are Hillwood Estate members may attend free; guests who are non-Hillwood Estate members will be charged $26.

Parking: Hillwood is accessible by foot, bike or car.  If onsite parking is full, guests will be directed to offsite street parking nearby. Please keep in mind street parking on Linnean Avenue is prohibited.

Cancellation policy: Cancellations are accepted until October 14 and may be requested via email to Jonathan Ege at jon@egeart.net.  Refunds will only be provided if we are able to fill your spot with someone on the waiting list and only until October 5th.
