Registration is closed

This will be our final sketch night at AMP by Strathmore. Unfortunately, the venue is closing June 30. We're working to find a new place for similar events, but in the meantime, let's close it out with a great evening together!

The booking deadline for tickets has been extended through May 20.

Chat with fellow MAA artists over drinks and appetizers before we all make art together during a performance by vocalist Kyshona,
a versatile and soulful artist who blends folk, rock, and R&B. We reserved several tables just for MAA members and their guests.

About the performance: Fueled by untold stories, Kyshona believes in the power of narratives to connect communities. With a background in music therapy, the curiosity of a writer, and the resolve of an activist, she channels her soulful voice in relentless pursuit of the healing power of song. Get to know Kyshona

Number of spots:

AMP by Strathmore is generously offering reduced-priced, $21 tickets (25% off the regular rate) for MAA members and their guests only.

Cancellation policy:
Tickets are refundable through May 16, 2024. From May 17-onward, tickets are nonrefundable unless we have someone on the wait list to take your spot.

What to expect:
We’ll host social time from 7:15-8 pm and provide complimentary, shared appetizers at our tables. The venue has a full bar where you can purchase cocktails, beer, wine, soda, etc. The show itself starts at 8 pm and usually ends by 9:30-10 pm. The room has
low lighting, but our tables will be lit with little lights so that you can see your work. You're welcome to sketch or just enjoy the show.

What to bring:
Sketching materials (such as small sketchbooks, pencils/pens, travel-sized watercolor kit). Keep your materials simple—there isn't a lot of space to spread out.

AMP by Strathmore is in the Pike & Rose shopping area at 11810 Grand Park Ave. in North Bethesda. Directions & parking info. (An important note: This is a wholly different venue from the main Music Center at Strathmore.)
