Figure Model Sundays - Afternoon Session - August 20 with Harry

MAA Figure Model Sundays continues!  The Montgomery Art Association and The Compass Atelier are partnering to offer in-person figure model sessions on select Sundays in July and August. The 3-hour sessions are moderated but uninstructed, providing artists with focused practice time in the studio. Bring along any drawing or painting media that suits you.

MAA is offering morning and afternoon sessions on each select Sunday. Morning sessions are 9:00 am to noon ET; Afternoon sessions are 1:00 pm ET to 4:00 pm ET.  Each session costs $10 per person per session to register.

If you're not yet comfortable joining in person, we also offer a Zoom option.

DETAILS 

• Date: Sunday, August 20, 2023
• Time:  Afternoon Session: 1:00 pm ET - 4:00 pm ET
• Model: Harry (@harrypedgel on Instagram).
• Poses: Subject to change; generally, start with short (2- to 5-minute) poses followed by a long pose for remainder of session. Model will be wearing summer or formal attire or costume. 
• Number of in-person participants: 15.   Advanced registration required; no drop ins.  And even once we reach the in-person studio limit, don't worry - you can still attend using the Zoom option (see below).
• Zoom option: Sign up using the Zoom registrant button; the Zoom link will be sent to you in your confirmation email and in a reminder email the day before.
• Cost: $10 per session in person or via Zoom. Each session runs for 3 hours. Artists may register for both morning and afternoon sessions on the same day if sessions remain available; the $10 registration fee applies for each session.
• Cancellation policy: Cancellations three or more days before the session will result in a full refund. The session is nonrefundable (but transferrable to an artist friend) two days or fewer before the session.
• What to expect: Easels, chairs, and tabourets are available for your use. Please bring all other materials you'll need. Food/drink is permitted. Sinks/restrooms are available. Models and participants should be up to date on Covid-19 vaccinations. Face masks are optional; decisions by models or artists to wear face coverings will be respected. In the spirit of community, all artists are asked to help put away equipment at the end of the session.
• Photos/screenshots: This model permits photos/screenshots. $10 fee is payable directly to the model via PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo.
• Getting there: The Compass Atelier is in the Artists & Makers Studios building at 11810 Parklawn Road in Rockville, MD. A large free parking lot is behind the building.
