Figure Model Sundays: March 5 with Sheba

MAA Figure Model Sundays returns for 2023!  The Montgomery Art Association and The Compass Atelier are partnering again to offer five in-person figure model sessions on select Sundays in March and April. The 3-hour sessions are moderated but uninstructed, providing artists with focused practice time in the studio. Bring along any drawing or painting media that suits you.

If you're unable to join in person or not yet comfortable joining in person, we also offer a Zoom option.

DETAILS 

• Date: Sunday, March 5, 2023
• Time: 9:00 am-noon
• Model: Sheba (@blueriverdream on Instagram).
  
• Poses: Unclothed or lightly clothed quick dynamic poses for 1 minute, 5 minutes and 20 minutes; we may also have a long (1 hour or more) pose if time/interest allows.
• Number of participants: In-person limited to 12 artists. Advanced registration required; no drop ins.
• Zoom option: Sign up using the Zoom registrant button; the Zoom link will be sent to you in your confirmation email and in a reminder email the day before.
• Cost: $10 per session in person or via Zoom. Or, save money by signing up for all five sessions for $45.  Discount applies only for participants signing up for all five session dates listed above (3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 4/2, 4/16).
• Cancellation policy: Cancellations five or more days before the session will result in a full refund. The session is nonrefundable (but transferrable to an artist friend) four days or fewer before the session.
• What to expect: Easels, chairs, and tabourets are available for your use. Please bring all other materials you'll need. Food/drink is permitted. Sinks/restrooms are available. Models and participants should be up to date on Covid-19 vaccinations. Face masks are optional; decisions by models or artists to wear face coverings will be respected. In the spirit of community, all artists are asked to help put away equipment at the end of the session.
• Photos/screenshots: This model permits photos by in-person participants only; she does not permit screenshots on Zoom. The cost for photos is $10 and is payable directly to the model in cash or online at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/blueriverdream
• Getting there: The Compass Atelier is in the Artists & Makers Studios building at 11810 Parklawn Road in Rockville, MD. A large free parking lot is behind the building.
