Art Consultant Lauren Heller
Lauren will be sharing her journey from managing a fine art gallery in Florida to starting her own art advisory business in the Washington DC area. She will give a behind the scenes look into what an art consultant looks for when deciding to work with an artist, which includes the importance of a professional digital presence. She aims to share the value of artists working with art advisors to place their work, as well as new insights for successfully running their own small businesses.
A lover of art history at a young age, Lauren Heller is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Georgetown University with a major in Art History and minors in Studio Fine Art and French, along with Valedictorian with distinction from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York, NY with a Masters in Contemporary Art History. After graduation, Lauren worked at and eventually became the Gallery Director of Stellers Gallery (now Hillary Whitaker Gallery) in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. After moving back to the Washington DC area, she founded the art advisory business, Lauren Heller Art Consultant, to help others feel confident when selecting art for their home or office.
