Registration Open July 15 - September 4, 2021
En Plein Air - outdoor painting - during the Paint The Town Labor Day Show event is a special highlight. This activity is open to members, non-members and children. Pieces from this competition are judged for awards in two categories--Adult Plein Air and Childrens Plein Air.
Artists must complete the artwork within the Kensington city limits. All 2D media is permitted.
Registration: Register here online or in person at the Kensington Armory on September 4th.
Cost: The competition is free for MAA members in good standing and for children. Non-member adults pay $10 per person; the fee is payable here or in person at the show.
Competition Rules: Your canvas or paper must be stamped on Saturday, September 4th. Doors open at 7 am for this purpose. You must return your artwork for judging and sale by 3 pm the same day. Art in this category does not need to be framed. (Note: If you do not wish to mark your piece for sale, you may note "Not for Sale"). All art that is sold at the show provides a 25% commission to MAA.
