Join Us for a Conversation and Demonstration with Watercolorist Dorrie Rifkin

Entertaining and knowledgeable, watercolorist Dorrie Rifkin will give us a lesson on perspective along with a short demo of her drawing and watercolor process, including her approach to lettering in paintings.

Thirty years’ experience as an award-winning art director ignited and cemented a lifelong love affair with typography and graphic design, and both are evident in her cityscapes. Her other passions -- music, New York City, and family – come through in her works, too, and she always has a funny story to share or entertaining dialogue that narrate her live demos.

Dorrie's paintings have won more than 30 prizes, many in international and national juried shows, and are exhibited in private collections worldwide. Dorrie was featured in the article “Ones to Watch,” Watercolor Artist (December 2010), and her work was selected for Splash 14, 15, 17,18, 19 and 20. Her painting Leaving the Highline was selected for the cover of Watercolor  Artist magazine in February 2015. She is a signature member of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and also is a member of the Northeast, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Garden State, New Jersey and Baltimore watercolor societies.

Dorrie is based in Englewood, New Jersey, and will join us via Zoom. To see more of Dorrie's work:
