Ever wonder what the life of a cartoonist is like?  Well, here is your chance to get to know one that lives and works in Montgomery County!  Come listen to the journey and see the work of Leila Cabib!

Leila Cabib is a professional cartoonist, illustrator and animator.  Her clients include The Wall Street JournalThe Washington Post, Gannett newspapers, Time-Life Books and many other publications and organizations.  She has written and illustrated two nationally syndicated comic strips.  She has been teaching cartooning and animation as an artist in residence in elementary, middle and high schools for 18 years.  She also

teaches at Glen Echo Park.  She has just received a Wheaton Cultural Project Grant from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County to offer virtual cartooning and graphic novel creation classes and animation workshops for kids and seniors through Montgomery County Public Libraries.  She is currently working on a personal animated film, “WALK,” and on new cartoons.   Leila is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
