The Anguish of Our Heroes during Covid-19 (1)

Created on: 21 Apr 2020
Here is a painting I just completed April 18, 2020 - it is based on a photo of a physician and nurse who is comforting him after loss of another Covid-19 patient. The photo was taken in Cremona, Italy, part of the Lombardy region hit especially hard by the virus. If you have read any of the pieces written by Craig Spencer, MD - the ER doc who survived ebola and is now working in NY to save lives you will understand how I was moved by this. I am aware everyone is saying it now; but these truly are the heroes we have in our world today. Thanks.
