Montgomery Art Association (MAA) membership brings many benefits. Our MAA group shows allow members to display and sell their work. MAA also provides members the opportunity to attend monthly programs, receive electronic newsletters, and participate in workshops, networking parties, and museum visits. MAA contributes to the community through our scholarship program and outreach events.
Established in 1954, MAA was incorporated in 1991 as a non-profit organization. Dues are tax-deductible. Income (painting sale commissions, dues, exhibit entry fees and workshops) finances exhibits and awards, judging fees, speakers, scholarships, and other projects. Donations are always welcome!
Members have a range of experiences—from those just starting out to long-time professionals—and work in varying styles with many media. They live in Maryland, the District, and Virginia—generally communities in the Washington Metropolitan area—including some as far afield as the Eastern Shore.
Our membership year is September 1 to August 31 and costs $50 for a regular membership. Members joining between March 1 and August 31 may join at half the annual membership dues amount—$25. We also offer a half-price membership to students enrolled in a full-time degree program at an accredited institution.
Exhibit, network and further enhance your artistic skills with this diverse group of artists!
One of the benefits of membership is that you can place a gallery of up to 10 images of your work on the MAA website at no additional cost. To add your images as part of our Members Gallery, watch this video. There is also a “how-to” article on the Resources page of this website.
