"The Kreeger Museum offers one of Washington's most rewarding art experiences, where Impressionist masterpieces, modernist architecture, and global artistic traditions meet in an atmosphere of exceptional beauty and quiet reflection."
Join the Montgomery Art Association for a special visit to The Kreeger Museum, where masterful paintings, modernist architecture, and global artistic traditions come together in a uniquely intimate setting. Renowned for its collection of nine Claude Monet paintings and exceptional works by Renoir, Sisley, Pissarro, Picasso, and other major artists, the museum offers a rich encounter with Impressionist and modern art.
The experience is further enhanced by the museum’s remarkable building, designed by renowned architects Philip Johnson and Richard Foster. Its elegant travertine-clad structure, sail-vaulted ceilings, and carefully orchestrated natural light create a contemplative environment in which art, architecture, and landscape exist in harmonious dialogue. Collections of African, Asian, modern, and regional Washington art invite visitors to explore connections across cultures and time.
