Women’s Health Victoria (WHV) is a state-wide women’s health promotion, advocacy, and support service with a proud history of over 25 years. We are an independent, feminist, not-for-profit organisation. We advocate and build system capacity for a gendered approach to health that reduces inequalities and improves health outcomes for women.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and compassionate woman to work with Counterpart’s Bridge of Support program. Working in four Melbourne hospitals, the coordinator connects trained Peer Support Volunteers to women undergoing treatment for breast or a gynaecological cancer. Liaising closely with Counterpart and hospital teams, this important new role brings together administration of all volunteer requirements to work in the hospitals; promotion of the program and stakeholder engagement within the hospitals; organising women receiving treatment to receive support and briefing and debriefing with volunteers.
This position is part time and days will be fixed with some limited ability to be flexible. It will be primarily situated in the hospitals with some time at the Counterpart offices in the CBD.
