You are invited to a special conversation with local artist and instructor Leo Ramos on Wednesday, April 13 from 7-8 pm via Zoom.
About our presenter: Leo grew up in Kensington, MD where he currently resides but spends part of the year in Colombia, South America where he was born. He started painting in high school under the tutelage of Walt Bartman III and then became an apprentice and assistant for Walt Bartman II at the Yellow Barn Studio where he learned the value of craftsmanship and hard work. He has received several awards including Maryland Distinguished Scholar in the Arts, Congressional Scholar in the Arts, first and second place awards at the Kensington paint the town plein air event. After spending 11 years in the construction trade Leo decided to pursue his dream of becoming a full time artist and became an instructor at the Yellow Barn Studio and Gallery where he is also the studio manager. His work can also be found at Gallery 322 in Frederick Maryland.
