I have been yearning for these delectable and gorgeous chocolates for years. Finally, this year, I ordered some for myself (and my family) for Valentine's Day. I couldn't wait to paint (then devour) these treats! Savor the sweet life!
This painting is based on a photo I took of a vase of pretty white flowers that were practically glowing in beauty. I just had to capture it in a painting. I kept the background dark to emphasize the flowers and give it a classic feel.
Waking up to the sight of the pink blossoms is quite a delight, an inspiration to paint.
Walking along a dock in Cape Cod, I was awed by the colors and shapes of the buoys the fishermen use. It was early in the morning so I titled this piece, "Day's Promise."

I love to paint flowers. These orchids were a Valentine's Day gift from my husband.

The flower garden in 'Alice in Wonderland' is an idyllic place. This painting is a portrait of a beautiful rose that reminds me of the talking and singing flowers of this novel and Disney movie.
