1st place
Rainbow Chocolates

Oil on Canvas
10 x 10"

I have been yearning for these delectable and gorgeous chocolates for years. Finally, this year, I ordered some for myself (and my family) for Valentine's Day. I couldn't wait to paint (then devour) these treats! Savor the sweet life!

Twilight Glow
Acrylic on Canvas
14 x 11"

This painting is based on a photo I took of a vase of pretty white flowers that were practically glowing in beauty. I just had to capture it in a painting. I kept the background dark to emphasize the flowers and give it a classic feel.

Pink Blossoms
27 x 23"

Waking up to the sight of the pink blossoms is quite a delight, an inspiration to paint.

Day's Promise
Oil on Canvas
11 x 14"

Walking along a dock in Cape Cod,  I was awed by the colors and shapes of the buoys the fishermen use. It was early in the morning so I titled this piece, "Day's Promise."

Still Life Orchids
Oil on Linen Panel
14 x 11"

I love to paint flowers. These orchids were a Valentine's Day gift from my husband.

Mediterranean Courtyard
17 x 21"

While strolling through a narrow Mediterranean ally, the lighting and the atmospheric warmth in this courtyard caught my eyes and I had to paint it.

12 x 15"

I just wanted to try something different from the calm landscapes that I usually paint; and I wanted something cheerful.

3rd place

Oil on Canvas
17 x 21"

I can feel the transmission of power through the raw pipes.

2nd place

16 x 20"

Pandemic anxiety expressed by Picasso's Weeping Woman, a lantern sans candle, a knife, and a skull sculpture. I painted this to express the anxiety of a world turned upside down.

Honorable mention
Golden Afternoon

Oil on Canvas

20 x 20"

The flower garden in 'Alice in Wonderland' is an idyllic place. This painting is a portrait of a beautiful rose that reminds me of the talking and singing flowers of this novel and Disney movie.
