Art supply swap, December 13

Date: Thursday, December 13
Time: 6:30-8:30 pm
Where: Hirsh Studio Classroom at Artist and Makers 2, 12276 Wilkins Ave. in Rockville

Here’s your chance to get holiday “gifts” without spending any money. MAA is hosting an art supply swap at our December meeting. Members are invited to bring unwanted new or used art supplies and trade them with fellow members. This is a great opportunity to clean out your studios or art bins, and to try items new to you before investing in them.

Any remaining art supplies will be donated to the nonprofit Create Arts Center in Silver Spring. Create Arts Center provides visual arts classes, art therapy and other educational opportunities for children and adults with mental health challenges and from at-risk backgrounds.

Create is happy to accept any supplies we’d like to provide but also has a “wish list” of needed items (shown at the end of this email). If you’d like to purchase new supplies to donate to Create, please bring them to the meeting and we will deliver them on your behalf.

RSVP: To Alan Rich. As usual, we invite you to bring a savory or sweet snack or beverage to the meeting.
