MAA maintains a website, www.MontgomeryArt.org, and also a Facebook page, www.facebook.com/MontgomeryArtAssociation, both important to keeping our members and followers up-to-date. Please “Like” us, comment on, and share our content so we can engage with you and your friends!
MAA offers a number of opportunities for members to display and sell their work. MAA sponsors two premier member shows (with awards) at Friendship Heights and Kensington as well as other important public venues like Brookside Gardens. Members can also display and sell their work at a number of “small venue shows”.
MAA strives to make a vital contribution to our community:
- In cooperation with the Montgomery College Art Foundation, MAA provides scholarship funds to foster the education of emerging artists.
- MAA supports community festivals, like the Wheaton Arts Parade and the Kensington Day of the Book.
MAA uses income received from sales commissions, membership dues, contributions, exhibit entry fees, and subsidized workshop entry fees to finance exhibits and awards, equipment purchases, guest speakers, and other outreach projects.
